KOKSHETAU STATE UNIVERSITY Kokshetau State University lays great emphasis on scientific research over anything else. HISTORY : Established in the year 1962, Kokshetau State University is a reputed non-profit institution, located in the city of Kokshetau, Kazakhstan. It was formerly known as Kokchetav Pedagogical Institute, which was named after the first Kazakh scientist-educator Chokan Chingizovich Valikhanov. In 1996, it was renamed as Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University- an outstanding Kazakh scientist-orientalist, a historian, an ethnographer, a geographer, a folklorist, a translator and a travelLer.
Over the years, pursuing MBBS in Kazakhstan has grown into an attractive option for international students; and especially Indian students due to the huge donations and tuition fees that are asked by the Private Indian Medical Institutions. ACADEMIC :The university carries out educational activities for 47 specialties of a bachelor degree, 28 specialties of magistracy and 3 specialties PhD of doctoral studies. There are Agrarian and economic institute of S. Sadvakasov ,a part of higher education institution and 5 faculties: faculty of equipment and technology, faculty of philology and pedagogies, faculty of history, law, art and sport, faculty of natural sciences and faculty of tuition by correspondence. There are – about five thousand students, they are trained by 345 teachers, including – 12 members of academy of Sciences , 20 doctors of science, 80 candidates of science, 2 doctors of PhD, 175 undergraduates, 25 owners of the state grant “The best teacher of higher education institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
